Marion married Dorothy Louise Franklin on January 16, 1954. He owned Yester Ceramic Lab for 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dot; his sons, Marion Yester, Jr. (Sandy), Matt Yester (Donna) and Jack Yester; his daughters, Mary Margaret Barksdale (Bill), Cathy Lindberg (Jon), Marie Eidson (John Gaines) and Jennifer Peace (Scott); his sister, Bernadine Seay; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Martin's in the Pines and Alacare Hospice for the care they showed to Mr. Yester and the family. The wake will be on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Church with a prayer service to follow. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church. Graveside services will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Xavier School Endowment, 2 Xavier Circle, Birmingham, AL 35213.

She was a member of the American Accordionist Association, the Accordion Teachers Guild and the Alabama Accordionist Association where she was recently presented with their highest commendation in recognition and appreciation of the positive and successful impact she has made on countless students and audiences for over 75 years. Ms. Rich was the 1997 Ms. Senior Jefferson County and was also presented the Senior Citizen Hall of Fame Honorary Golden Eagle Award that same year. She was a faithful parishioner of All Saints' Episcopal Church where she was a former member of the choir. She is survived by her children, Martha Seay Miller, John Seay (Portia), Paula Seay, and daughter-in-law Karen Seay Ammons; grandchildren, Stacy Miller Schneider (Tim), Kristy Miller Ross (Tim), Berkley Seay, IV, Jacob Seay and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Berkley Seay, Jr. and Don L. Rich, son William Berkley Seay, III and six siblings.
